The affairs of the organization are managed on daily basis by national bureau headed by an elected chairperson/president assisted by an executive composed primarily of a secretary general, treasure, national program coordinator and technical advisors. In terms of membership, the following are defined categories of members of the organization:
1. Statutory/permanent members: This group is composed of pioneer founding members who actively contributed to creation of the national NGO in 1994. Active members must satisfy membership requirements of the organization with strict compliance to existing legal requirements of the organization in terms of morale, discipline and professionalism. CWCS initially registered 25 active members but most are yet to update their financial dues.

4.   Affiliated members: The affiliated members are mostly strategic and technical partners and institutions working with CWCS such as members of Cameroon Mangrove Action Network with more than 25 registered members. Affiliated members also include foreign institutions collaborating with CWCS in various conservation initiatives and programs.
